Architecture and interior design for buildings that earn their place in the landscape — and in memory.
Aldus & Kade is an architecture and design studio founded on the belief that a great building earns its meaning slowly. It is in the quality of light at midday. The acoustic of an empty room. The grain of a threshold worn smooth by twenty years of passing feet.
We work with private clients, cultural institutions, and civic bodies across Northern Europe and the United Kingdom on projects ranging from private residences to public infrastructure.

Studio philosophy
“A building should be better in fifty years than it is on opening day. If it isn’t, we haven’t done our job.”
We design with the assumption that everything we build will outlive us. This means resisting the temptation of novelty and grounding each decision in material truth — what will this concrete, this stone, this timber become as it weathers?
We take a limited number of projects each year deliberately. Depth requires time. We do not sub-contract the thinking.
