Choose a CISS menu style

Compare general DDR templates with SideMenuPro and VMenuPro, including themes, active states, icons and animations.

Not rated yet

CISS can render the same DNN page tree through different templates. Choose the structure first, then customize its theme and behavior.

Bundled style families

  • SideMenuPro: collapsible vertical navigation with progressive indentation, active bar, breadcrumb gradient, icons and six color themes.
  • VMenuPro: the richer vertical design system with badges, external-link markers, tree lines, glass and pill modes, hover effects and entrance animations.
  • MegaCorelli / Mega menu: dropdown navigation that presents deeper pages in a multi-column panel.
  • DDR examples: unordered-list Token, Razor and XSLT templates, plus tree, breadcrumb and sitemap patterns for custom development.

SideMenuPro options

Its template arguments include Theme, ShowIcons, ShowActiveBar, ArrowStyle and AnimationSpeed. Built-in themes are midnight, ocean, forest, sunset, rose and snow.

VMenuPro options

VMenuPro adds ShowBadges, ShowExternal, ShowLines, HoverEffect, EnterAnim, BorderMode, Glass, Pill and Stagger. Its theme list also includes slate.

Animation and glass effects should support the content, not compete with it. Test keyboard focus, reduced-motion preferences and contrast before using them on production navigation.
